Son of a farmer & a gardener, brother of a landscaper, and Godson of a homeopathic herb farmer... gardening and tree trimming was a big part of Simon's life in the high Appalachian mountains of Quebec, Canada.
Simon's experience ranges from home repairs with his father and brothers on the homestead, to building timber frame houses in Armstrong BC, to apprenticing with expert contractors and carpenters around the Bay Area.
Fun Fact: Part of the horse's heart is in their hooves!
When a horse gets up to a good steady trot or better yet - a full gallop - their own weight landing on their hooves as they run pumps blood from the frog of their hooves to their heart. Horses need this kind of exercise to maintain healthy blood circulation, bringing oxygen to their muscles, joints, and organs. This can be done with trotting, galloping, jumping, and even just liberty play in a large enough arena. Get help exercising your horse daily by joining out EQUESTINE FITNESS PROGRAM.
Horses sleep standing up, so it's very important that a horse feels comfortable on it's feet. Uneven or split hooves can cause the horse to shift weight unnaturally, which can lead to spinal & structural issues later on. We offer routine hoof maintenance to keep your horse's hoofs healthy & strong.
